Hello everyone, I have a question about the durability of the Ikea Platsa series with normal use. How long does this space-saving system from Ikea typically last when used under average conditions, meaning without extreme stress or misuse? I am especially interested in aspects such as material durability, structural stability, and long-term use in an apartment. Does anyone have experience with whether the cabinets and shelves remain stable after several years, or if there are expected declines in functionality, like squeaking or wobbly components? Also, any tips on care or assembly to extend the lifespan would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Repeated assembly and disassembly can indeed affect durability. Screws and joints may no longer hold as firmly. However, the surface remains in good condition even after multiple transports, as long as it is handled carefully. Loose connections can usually be fixed by tightening the screws.

For the price, it’s incredibly sturdy, as long as you don’t exceed the weight limits! So, be flexible! It’s a great solution, especially for people who move or renovate frequently. I can only recommend it!
