How important is cleaning (scraping off the soot layer from the walls) for a pellet heating system compared to an oil heating system?
Emptying the ash container regularly is, of course, understandable for a pellet system.
But how often should the combustion chamber and grate not only be vacuumed but also cleaned with a metal scraper to remove soot from the walls?
Should this be done annually, after a certain number of tons, or only as needed when a specific soot layer is noticeable on the walls?
