Jona41Hello everyone, some time ago I bought an IKEA Brimnes bed, and unfortunately, a part of it is now damaged. Before I have to replace the entire piece of furniture, I would like to know the average cost of spare parts for the Brimnes model. Specifically, I am interested in prices for components such as slatted bed bases, headboard and footboard lighting, as well as the drawers. Does anyone have experience with the costs or know how IKEA prices their spare parts? Any advice would be appreciated!
Hey Jona41, great question! I’m really glad you don’t want to replace the whole thing right away. I’ve actually ordered spare parts for the Brimnes myself and can say that the prices are usually quite fair – between 10 and 40 euros, depending on how complex the part is. 😊 For example, drawer runners are often the cheapest, while slatted frames tend to be a bit more expensive, especially if they come with lighting. Keep at it, it’s always worth it! 👍
As an additional note: IKEA rarely sells spare parts for Brimnes individually in stores, usually only upon request or at the customer service counter. Prices for replacement slatted frames are often around 30 euros, drawer fronts range between 15 and 25 euros depending on the material and design. For the backlit parts (headboard and footboard), prices can be expected between 20 and 40 euros, as these include electronics and special components. These details are based on my research and previous orders.
It is important to note that replacement parts at IKEA are sometimes not available individually, depending on the quantity and distribution model. For example, slatted bed bases are technically quite simple, but if you need replacement parts for illuminated furniture components, the prices increase significantly due to the integrated technology. If it concerns drawer fronts, you should also pay close attention to the production date and color, as there can sometimes be variations. Do you happen to have a precise part number or a description of the exact components involved? This makes the search much easier.
Thanks for the responses so far! To be a bit more specific: my main concern is the drawer slides or runners because one side is no longer running smoothly along the guide. Also, I might need an LED light strip for the headboard, which is slightly damaged as well. By now, I have found the article number for the drawer slide, which appears to be available as an individual part from IKEA. I am specifically interested in whether anyone knows the prices for these two parts and if it’s worth ordering directly from IKEA or if third-party suppliers might offer cheaper replacement parts.

chenValeri7 Nov 2016 11:32Drawer slides for Brimnes typically cost around 12 to 20 euros per pair. Ordering directly from IKEA is usually advisable, as the parts fit precisely. LEDs are sometimes more expensive due to the built-in electronics, with prices ranging from 25 to 40 euros. Third-party options can be tried, but quality and fit are not always guaranteed.
