My specific question is: How easy or difficult is it to transport these large and sometimes heavy IKEA Brimnes furniture items? I’m particularly interested in whether the parts can be transported relatively easily alone or with two people, how well they fit in a medium-sized station wagon or light van, and if there are any special tips to make the return transport at home and loading easier. I would be very grateful for any experiences to better estimate how much help I really need to arrange and what challenges I should prepare for.

Loading into a station wagon was no problem at all; the pieces stack well if you are familiar with the assembly instructions beforehand. What I learned: lifting at the front and pushing at the back helps, and keeping the packaging (cardboard, protective wrap) on until unloading also makes handling easier.

In general: bring someone who can help carry, otherwise it can quickly become frustrating.
