Hello,
Can someone explain to me how heating with underfloor heating generally works? Not the technical details in general, but rather regarding electricity, gas, etc.?
I assume it runs on electricity? Isn’t that pointless given the rising electricity prices?
It probably doesn’t run on gas or oil, right?

Or does it carry the water, which is then heated?

Question answered myself ;-)

Normally, water is heated and circulated through the underfloor heating system.
The advantage is the incredibly large heating surface, which in reasonably well-insulated houses allows for operation with low water temperatures.

Ok, thanks.
Yes, the idea came to me shortly after sending it 😀

There are also electric underfloor heating systems, for example in bathrooms during renovations of older buildings, as I am familiar with. The heating was installed directly beneath the tiles.
