Hello everyone,

I am planning to assemble the Ikea Platsa wardrobe with a few friends, but I’m a bit unsure about the best way to approach this project when multiple people are involved. My specific question is: What is the most efficient and smooth way to assemble the Ikea Platsa wardrobe with friends? I am especially interested in how to divide tasks sensibly and what to watch out for when working together – is there an ideal process to avoid frustration while making good progress?

I would appreciate concrete experiences and tips that also address teamwork and group dynamics. Thanks in advance!

I would like to add that it is important not to underestimate the wall mounting when assembling Platsa. Especially if you are building the wardrobe with two or more people, make sure someone takes on this task, as it can often be a bit more tedious.

I also recommend going through the instructions together before you start, so that everyone has the same understanding of the process. This helps avoid misunderstandings and ensures that everyone knows what to do at each step.

Exactly, staying calm is the most important thing here.

I recommend:
- Read and understand the instructions
- Work step by step
- Assign roles to friends: 1 person for assembling screws, 1 person to hold parts, 1 person to read the instructions
- Don’t rush

This way, building Platsa will be quick and stress-free.

Avoid distractions and ensure all tools are ready.

One person should supervise the instructions and address any mistakes immediately.

Communication is key when building furniture together.

1 screwdriver, 1 parts holder, 1 manual reader

Interesting trio! However, in my experience, sometimes the "manual reader" tries to take over and act overly important, which can disrupt the group dynamics.

Therefore, I recommend that everyone understands the manual and that the "manual reader" acts more as a facilitator rather than a commander. Friendship comes first. If that works, teamwork becomes very efficient.

Exactly! In the end, building should be enjoyable – no matter how smooth or challenging the process is. A bit of patience and humor are the best tools when assembling with friends!
