Hello, the house has an oil-fired central heating system and is already 60 years old. It started on Saturday. There was a strange noise when I turned on the kitchen tap. There must be air in the water pipe. I turned it off, but the water kept flowing for several minutes. Then it started dripping and eventually stopped.

Since then, it has improved. The noise is not as bad anymore. When I turn it off, much less water runs out.

My neighbor built a pool on his roof. I hear a noise there. It is supposedly the cleaner.

Now my question is, how can air get into a water pipe? Through the neighbor, through dryness — it hasn’t rained here for weeks.

What should I do? Just keep waiting until it comes out by itself? Thanks and best regards

Magic faucet? When I turn off my tap, the water stops immediately.
P.S. Hot water and cold water come through different pipes.

Through a defect – a broken pipe, faulty fitting, etc.
