Hello everyone, I have a specific question about safely transporting the IKEA Brimnes. The furniture usually comes in several parts, which can be quite fragile—especially the large panels and doors made of particleboard or MDF. How is it best to pack everything to avoid scratches, cracks, or warping during transport? Are there proven methods, materials, or special techniques you would recommend, for example, when traveling by car? I would appreciate detailed answers, as I want to prevent any unnecessary damage on the way from IKEA to home.

What about films? Is regular stretch wrap sufficient, or is bubble wrap essential for the sensitive MDF parts?

I really love using bubble wrap for situations like this! 😉 It provides excellent protection, much better than stretch wrap. And if you don’t have any, a thick wool blanket will also do. Make sure to add extra padding to the corners, as those are the spots most likely to get damaged during transport.
