Hello everyone, I recently bought an IKEA Brimnes piece of furniture, specifically a TV stand unit, and I noticed that it wobbles slightly when I use it or lean against it. I have already followed the standard assembly instructions and tightened all the screws properly, but the wobbling persists. I suspect it might be related to the design or possibly uneven floors. My question to the community is: How can you prevent wobbling with the IKEA BRIMNES furniture? Are there any special tips for assembly or additional measures that can be taken to improve stability? I would also appreciate advice on tool usage or adjustments that have proven effective. Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to significantly reduce wobbling without wall anchoring, or would I always be taking a risk?Without wall anchoring, the risk of wobbling is considerably higher, especially with taller furniture like Brimnes. However, you can try the following to improve stability without attaching to a wall: - level the feet precisely using shims until all four make firm contact with the floor at the same time - tighten screws at connection points and, if necessary, add additional brackets inside - store heavy items in the lower section to keep the center of gravity low These measures reduce wobbling but do not fully replace wall anchoring.
Hello, I would like to add that with BRIMNES furniture, the assembly of small plastic clips on the feet is often underestimated. These clips are usually included and not only protect the floor but also help stabilize the furniture slightly. If they are missing or damaged, wobbling can increase. Also, if your floor is very sensitive, use felt pads with a non-slip backing. This keeps the furniture in place and prevents easy sliding, which can also be perceived as wobbling. In summary, the following help: correct assembly, leveling the floor, feet with plastic clips, and optional wall anchoring.
