Thank you for your detailed reply! The floor is relatively level but not completely smooth. There are no cracks, but sometimes I notice slight moisture in the garage, depending on the weather.

Regarding the weight: I will mostly store tools, paint cans, and heavy plastic containers. It is possible that a shelf board will be loaded with up to 30 kg (66 lbs). So it is not just for decoration but a real “work storage.”

Does this mean I should rather use chemical anchors? I was also wondering whether the shelf should be fixed directly to the wall, or if securing it to the floor is sufficient?
