I plan to securely and permanently attach my IKEA Brimnes wardrobe to the wall. Although the IKEA assembly kit includes dowels and brackets, I want to ensure the mounting is stable and minimizes the risk of tipping.

For concrete walls, use standard anchors and screws; for drywall, always use hollow wall anchors. Use at least two attachment points, at the top left and right. Position the cabinet upright and level it with a spirit level. Definitely secure it if children are present to prevent tipping.

For brick walls, Fischer anchors or comparable heavy-duty anchors are very suitable. It is best to choose screws with a diameter of at least 6 mm (0.24 inches). Using more fasteners never hurts; depending on the size of the cabinet, feel free to use 3 or 4 mounting points.
