Hello everyone, I am currently facing a small issue with my IKEA Malm furniture: unfortunately, my floor is not completely level, which causes the cabinets to wobble slightly and not sit flush. I would like to secure or stabilize the furniture so that it stands safely without causing damage to the floor or the furniture structure. What methods or aids do you recommend for reliably securing or leveling Malm furniture on uneven floors? Ideally, I would prefer solutions that are reversible in case I want to reposition the furniture later. Thank you in advance for your tips and experiences!

Here’s a little tip to brighten your day 😉 If you manage to stabilize your furniture properly with felt pads, you can dust your apartment at the same time – at least you’ll have a good excuse if the cabinets stop making noises!

Jokes aside, the most important thing is to adjust the feet so that the load is evenly distributed. With Malm furniture, the surface can quickly get damaged if pressure points develop. And wobbling is not only annoying but can also cause damage. Good luck and all the best! :-)

Glue felt pads or foam rubber pads under the furniture legs. For larger unevenness, install adjustable feet. Additionally, secure the furniture to the wall. This will solve the problem.

This is great, so many options you have here! 🙂 I once had the same issue with a Malm dresser that wobbled slightly because the floor was old and uneven. I simply used these self-adhesive rubber pads – super easy and effective. If you want a more professional solution, go for adjustable feet. They are a bit more expensive, but the result is definitely worth it! Good luck!
