Hello everyone,
I am currently planning my kitchen using Ikea Metod cabinets and intend to integrate several built-in appliances such as an oven, dishwasher, and microwave. I’m wondering how to best optimize the construction of the Metod cabinets to ensure everything remains stable, functional, and as easy to maintain as possible.
Specifically, I’m interested in how you assemble the cabinets around the appliances, what sequence you would recommend, which details to pay attention to during installation (e.g., ventilation, fastening, accessibility of connections), and if there are any special installation tips for a neat and durable integration.
It would be great if you could also share any experiences with combining different appliances within one cabinet, for example an oven plus warming drawer or microwave plus refrigerator in a tight space.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

For screws, I recommend using the original Metod connector screws for the carcass. For securing appliances, it’s best to use the screws provided by the appliance manufacturer. It is important not to drill into the side panels designed for the grid holes.
Additionally, using spacer sleeves can help distribute pressure evenly, especially on delicate side panels.
