Hello everyone, I have been experiencing an issue with my Ikea PAX wardrobe where the doors no longer close properly. They either get stuck or remain slightly ajar, even though I have adjusted the screws multiple times. The hinges don’t seem to be damaged, and I have checked that the cabinet frame is still level. Are there any specific tips or adjustments to keep in mind for PAX doors to ensure they close cleanly again? I am using the system with the standard concealed hinges, and the doors are double-leaf. Thank you in advance for any advice or instructions!

If problems persist after adjusting the hinges, check whether the doors are flush and free of any warping. A warped door panel can cause contact issues when closing.

Hello, in case it helps: Sometimes checking whether the screws in the hinges are still tight can make a big difference. If they are loose, the door can twist slightly, which affects the closing function. I fixed this just last week on an old Pax, and it really made a difference! ?

Thanks to everyone, I applied all the tips today: I fully aligned the cabinet using a level, readjusted the hinges on the back, checked the screws, and also inspected the door panels. It has improved significantly; the doors now close much more smoothly and without any pressure. Especially the precise height and side adjustment using the adjustment screws made the breakthrough. Great forum, I’m relieved!
