Hello everyone, I own a Hemnes piece of furniture from IKEA, specifically a closed cabinet made of solid wood with a white lacquer finish. Unfortunately, there are some stubborn stains on it, probably from red wine and ink, which cannot be removed despite regular cleaning with a damp cloth. My question is: What special methods or cleaning products can reliably remove these difficult stains without damaging the surface? It should be as gentle as possible because I don’t want to harm the lacquer. I am also interested in whether it is worth using professional cleaners or if household remedies are effective enough. Thank you very much for your helpful tips and experiences!
In addition to the previous tips: For particularly stubborn stains, a plastic eraser or a so-called melamine sponge (like a "magic eraser") can sometimes help, but use them with great caution. Always test the surface beforehand and avoid pressing too hard to prevent dull spots on the paint. Also, avoid sharp or abrasive cleaning tools.

They are mildly abrasive and can dull or permanently damage the surface. For Hemnes with white lacquer, I generally advise against it, as the surface is sensitive. An alternative is a gentler treatment with alcohol and patience.
