Hello everyone, I am facing the challenge of installing IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets in an apartment with uneven walls. The walls are not perfectly vertical, which makes the usual slotting and screwing options less effective. My question is: how can I ensure that Metod cabinets are still mounted securely and stably? What additional measures or tools are useful to minimize the risk of tipping or deformation? Are there proven techniques to compensate for wall irregularities without losing the modularity of the cabinets? Thanks for your tips!

My biggest concern is that the cabinets might become unbalanced over time from opening and closing. Would it be advisable to use adjustable furniture feet that can be screwed under the Metod cabinets? Or is it sufficient to adjust the standard feet with shims? Does anyone have experience with this?

Is it advisable to use adjustable furniture legs that can be screwed under Metod cabinets?Yes, definitely. Adjustable furniture legs are a real advantage on uneven floors and walls. They allow precise height adjustment and make it much easier to level the cabinets. This way, even small irregularities can be smoothly compensated without the need for extra shims. Important: The legs must be strong enough to support the load and the installation should be stable. Standard legs are often less flexible, so combining adjustable legs with small shims if needed is ideal.
