Good morning everyone, I recently bought an Ikea PAX wardrobe and want to attach mirrors to the doors. I am wondering: what is the best way to fix Ikea PAX mirrors to the wardrobe doors so that they hold securely and don’t get damaged? So far, I haven’t found any specific instructions that clearly explain which fasteners to use or how to proceed without damaging the doors. Perhaps someone here has experience mounting mirrors on PAX doors, especially on models with wood or glass fronts. I would appreciate a detailed explanation or step-by-step tips to avoid possible mistakes during installation. Thank you in advance!

One more question: Can anyone say exactly how to best position the clips? My cabinet has doors with metal frames, and I’m unsure if the clips should be attached differently in that case.I have doors with metal frames on my Pax wardrobe, and the clips are not attached directly to the metal frame but to the wooden or particleboard parts on the inside of the door. Ikea usually provides plastic adapters or metal brackets that fit into the profiles.
My recommendation: First, look for the designated mounting points on the inside of the door. If there are none, you can use clamp holders that fix the mirror without screws. It is important to measure precisely so the mirror sits straight and does not wobble.
If you have very heavy mirrors, I would advise against adhesive methods because they are not reliable in the long term. Instead, use screws and brackets, but pay close attention to the frame’s structure to avoid any deformation.

When drilling into metal frames, always maintain distance and exercise caution to avoid deforming the frame.I completely agree. It is also important to use appropriate screws for metal (sheet metal screws or machine screws with nuts) to ensure a secure hold.
If you can only attach clips to wooden parts, use them there and avoid modifying the metal profiles themselves, as this could compromise stability.
Otherwise, manufacturers sometimes provide suitable accessories for metal frame doors; it’s best to check with customer service or consult the construction plan, as there are often specific installation instructions for your exact door model.
