Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to install some IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets with soft-close doors and want to make sure everything is assembled correctly and professionally. My specific question is: How do I properly assemble IKEA Metod cabinets with soft-close doors so that the doors close smoothly, the hinges do not stick, and the entire structure is stable? I am especially interested in the steps related to the soft-close hinges, the correct positioning and adjustment of the doors, as well as any potential issues to watch out for.
I do have some experience with furniture assembly, but I am not completely confident with the combination of soft-close and Metod cabinets to ensure I cover all the details properly.
Thank you in advance for your tips, and if you know any special tricks that could make the process easier, please share!

As a supplement: When installing the soft-close doors on the IKEA Metod system, I recommend attaching all the hinges to the doors first, as BOMILAN mentioned. Then, assemble the wooden cabinet parts and connect them with the frame. The hinges are then clicked into the mounting plates, which are already fixed on the cabinet carcass side.
It is important to position the mounting plates perfectly level, as otherwise the doors cannot be properly aligned. The soft-close mechanism is integrated directly into the hinge and functions correctly only if the hinge is properly seated.
Adjustment is done using three screws: two for lateral and vertical alignment and one for door closing pressure. Check the door gap and closing function multiple times during the process.
Do you have the tools ready, such as a cordless drill with a Phillips bit, a screwdriver, and ideally a spirit level? Which doors are you installing exactly (width, height), and which types of hinges are involved (e.g., corner, full-extension, or standard)?

Where exactly can I find the screws on the Metod Soft-Close hinge? And is there a difference in adjustment if I have a door with a glass front compared to a regular wooden front?
The screws are located on the hinge itself. Usually, there are three: one for left/right adjustment, one for up/down adjustment, and one that controls the pressure against the cabinet body. For glass fronts, the installation is basically the same, but be more careful when tightening, as glass is more fragile.
