Hello everyone, I have a question that I hope someone with experience can answer: How can I adjust Ikea Metod kitchen doors when they don’t close properly? Specifically, some doors start to stick in certain areas or don’t sit flush against the frame due to incorrect alignment. I have already tried readjusting the hinges, but that only helped partially. Is there a way to slightly reshape or modify the door to improve the fit? I suspect that minor warping or tension in the material might be the cause and wanted to ask here for any proven methods. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Is there a way to adjust or modify the door so that it fits better?I completely understand how frustrating such an issue can be. My doors weren’t always perfect either, especially in my old apartment. What helped me was patience and precisely adjusting the hinges with a small Allen wrench or screwdriver.
Maybe you have a special pair of doors; in that case, it can help to completely remove one door, check the hinges, and, if necessary, reinstall them from scratch. Sometimes it also helps to calmly work on the doors again over several evenings.
I hope you find a good solution and don’t get too frustrated—these little things are part of everyday furniture use, but usually, they can be sorted out.
