Hello everyone, I am currently planning a project to assemble one or more Ikea Brimnes cabinets and am looking for tips and tricks to make the process quick and easy. I have already gone through the instructions, but sometimes there are little hacks or helpful tools that can make the whole process much easier. I am especially interested in whether there are specific methods that make the assembly more organized and time-saving, or if there are particular steps where extra care is needed to avoid mistakes. Perhaps you also have recommendations regarding the tools to use or advice about common pitfalls during assembly. I appreciate any experiences and practical advice!

If you’re working alone, it’s especially helpful to use temporary supports for larger parts. For example, you can use cardboard boxes or sturdy crates to hold the frames at a comfortable height. This way, both hands remain free, making it easier to drive in screws.
Additionally, it’s useful to have small trays ready for hinges and fittings to prevent losing any small parts.
My advice: Read the instructions carefully before you start and keep the individual steps in mind. This way, you can prepare the next tools and parts in advance.
If you encounter problems when fitting the doors: sometimes it’s easier to stabilize the cabinet by leaning it securely against the wall. This reduces wobbling that can make attaching the doors more difficult.

I’d like to add: If you notice a screw is difficult to drive in, don’t force it—better to double-check the position first, as this can save you a lot of time.
Also: Take a breather now and then, a short break works wonders! And don’t forget that in the end, you’ll be very proud when your Brimnes wardrobe is assembled. ?
