Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with how to make IKEA Hemnes furniture quieter? Specifically, my Hemnes dresser and nightstand have drawers and doors that creak or rattle quite loudly when opened and closed. It seems to me that the wooden runners or metal fittings aren’t very sound-absorbing. I have already tried tightening the screws a bit, but the noise remains. Does anyone have tips or proven methods to reduce the noise level? Maybe accessories like felt pads or special dampers? Thanks for your advice!

Additionally, it is important to check the furniture for proper assembly, as incorrect installation can cause stress that worsens the sound quality.Absolutely, that’s often underestimated. With my Hemnes dressers, I eventually noticed that the furniture panel was slightly tilted, which put tension on the drawers. Proper adjustment made a huge difference.
Here’s a small tip from me: if you use felt pads, you can trim the new pads slightly before attaching them, so they fit perfectly and stick better.
