Hello everyone, I hope to find some helpful tips here in the forum for effectively cleaning Pax doors with glass panels. Specifically, I’m dealing with the glass surfaces of the doors, which tend to quickly accumulate dust, fingerprints, and occasional water spots. I want to avoid using aggressive or harmful cleaning agents that could damage the frame or the glass. I’m especially interested in a method that reliably works, leaves no streaks, and is as time-saving as possible. What cleaning products or home remedies have you tried for the glass surfaces on Pax doors? Are there any special techniques or approaches for cleaning that have proven effective—such as what type of cloths or sponges work best? I would appreciate any well-founded recommendations, particularly tips on how to best protect the glass surfaces from new dirt or make regular cleaning easier.

I’m curious if you have any specific experience with the vinegar concentration in the cleaning solution?

Sure, I typically mix about half a cup of vinegar per liter of water. This is effective enough to remove limescale stains and fingerprints, and it also neutralizes light dirt.

Also, can you say something about the care of aluminum frames? I assume they shouldn’t get wet, or is that not the case?

Aluminum frames are usually anodized and quite durable. Wiping them briefly with a damp cloth is fine; just avoid standing water or strongly alkaline cleaning agents to prevent corrosion or discoloration. The best approach is to wipe the frame with a damp cloth and immediately dry it thoroughly.

Pax doors with glass look very stylish, but the stains can really ruin your day. I keep it simple with a spray bottle of water mixed with a little dish soap and an old cotton T-shirt. Important: Always dry and polish thoroughly afterward, otherwise streaks can look really bad.

Tip: After cleaning, you can treat the glass surfaces with a small amount of dishwasher rinse aid – this reduces water spots next time. Of course, don’t use too much, or it will drip! This actually helps you save time on cleaning in the future.

I know the problem: daily fingerprints on glass are really annoying. My tip: clean the glass surfaces in two steps – first roughly with water, then carefully with a damp cloth and some glass cleaner. I also find it important to always use a clean cloth – otherwise, you’re just rubbing dirt around.

Exactly that: microfiber cloths are great, but only if they’re clean. I rinse mine regularly and let them dry well.

Simply rinse first with clean water, then spray glass cleaner, wipe with a lint-free cloth, and polish dry. That is completely sufficient. Avoid using aggressive agents.

Additionally, I have found that a microfiber sponge with a deliberately smooth surface works well to remove heavy dirt before the actual glass cleaning. Then apply glass cleaner, not soaking wet, and polish with a dry microfiber cloth without applying pressure.

Avoid using newspaper at all costs, as it can scratch the frames.

To protect the glass surfaces between cleanings, I recommend keeping them dry, wiping off fingerprints regularly, and avoiding greasy hands on the doors – this prevents permanent streaks.

Window leather or special glass leather is great for polishing afterward. It saves effort during the next cleaning.
