Hello everyone,
I am planning to expand my Pax wardrobe cost-effectively using IKEA accessories and wanted to know what specific options are available to create practical and visually appealing additions that don’t cost too much. I’m especially interested in flexible organization systems, inserts, or possibly alternative solutions for drawers, clothes rails, or shelves that can be combined with Pax. Tips on installation and stability are also important to me, for example when using third-party or IKEA-internal accessories. Does anyone have experience or could even describe step by step how to expand it affordably without compromising on quality? Thanks for your support!

In conclusion, it would be helpful to know the exact cabinet size and basic structureExactly, that’s the point. Without that information, you can only give very general answers. The Pax size often determines the suitable accessories, especially for drawers and inserts.

Exactly, that’s the point. Without that, you can only respond very generally. However, if you want to be on the safe side, you should also consider custom solutions instead of relying blindly on IKEA accessories. Of course, Pax with original parts is convenient, but sometimes quality simply costs more – and saving money also means making compromises.
In my opinion, a real extension is only affordable if you’re willing to get hands-on and, for example, make small modifications yourself instead of just buying ready-made accessories that don’t fit perfectly.
With some precise work, for example using inexpensive wooden boards and modular hanging systems from a hardware store, you can often work better, more affordably, and more individually than with IKEA accessories. Of course, this requires more courage and craftsmanship!
