Hi,
it seems like we are doing something wrong with our compost. About three years ago, we had a lot of grass clippings and piled them all up. Now, when we wanted to spread it as soil, it turned out to be a slimy, tar-like mass with grass still visible inside. We also used a rapid composter, but it seems to me like a complete scam.
Is there any trick to help the green material decompose faster?

At the start of the season, always mix horn meal with wood chips and spread it on the soil around the plants. So, do it now!Fertilizing a 120m (130 yards) hedge. That’s turning into a lot of work. 😉

You’ll be done in 10 minutes, right? But I’d still need a helper to carry the bag.

I guess I still need a slave to carry the sack. You can tell you've never done this before 🙂
You take a construction bucket, fill it with a total of 2 kilograms (4.4 pounds) for 20 to 30 meters (65 to 98 feet), and just toss it into the hedge in no time.
If you’re acting all overly delicate here, don’t be surprised that your bushes don’t grow. That’s just how it is!

Yes, easy for you to say. I also walk around my house’s 3m (10 feet) hedge with a small bucket. 😉We only have 80 meters (260 feet) of hedge, but plenty of bushes and trees in the garden, including vegetables.
Don’t complain!
