Hello everyone, I am currently facing the challenge of perfectly aligning my newly installed Ikea Metod kitchen fronts. Despite several adjustments, some doors still appear slightly crooked or not flush, which is visually very bothersome to me. My question is: How can Ikea Metod kitchen fronts be aligned so precisely after installation that all doors and drawers line up correctly, the gap measurements are consistent, and there are no unwanted angles or distortions? Perhaps someone has systematic methods or special tips for optimally adjusting the fronts, especially when multiple elements are installed side by side. Advice on practical tools, the order of work steps, or notes on commonly overlooked issues would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

As a final tip, I would like to add that maintaining the correct screwdriver rotation direction and making gentle adjustments will extend the lifespan of the fittings. Over-tightening can cause irreversible damage to the adjustment screws and the mechanism. For long-term stability, these adjustments should be carried out precisely but carefully.

First adjust vertically and horizontally, then the depth.

One more note: The depth should be adjusted last, as it determines the distance between the doors and the cabinet frame. If you start with this adjustment, you will usually have to redo everything after checking the gaps and alignments. For very precise results, it is also recommended to use a digital inclinometer to identify hidden irregularities in the frame.

Thank you very much for the many detailed answers! The suggestions about the order of adjustment and using small aids (e.g., plastic strips as spacers) sound very practical. I will also try the tip about oiling the screws beforehand. I wanted to ask: Is there a maximum limit to the adjustment range with Metod fittings, meaning how far the doors can be shifted before problems arise? And how should I proceed if multiple doors next to each other are not perfectly flush despite having a proper subfloor and correct installation – should adjustments be made to the front panels or the hinges?
