I have a rather small apartment and am considering how to best use the IKEA Brimnes furniture to make the most efficient use of the space.
I am already using a BRIMNES bed with drawers, but I wonder if there are other combinations or storage options within the BRIMNES range that work particularly well for small spaces.
Who has experience with using BRIMNES furniture in versatile and space-saving ways? Are there clever ways to use the wardrobe, dressers, or shelving units that are especially worthwhile?
I would appreciate concrete tips, including advice on what to consider when choosing items to ensure the setup works well in the long term and doesn’t feel too cramped.

One additional note: The Brimnes bed features a relatively low footboard, which takes up less visual space in small rooms and improves freedom of movement.
Additionally, the headboard can be supplemented with shelves or compartments for storing books, phones, or other items. This creates extra storage without requiring additional floor space.
When choosing a wardrobe, I recommend opting for models with sliding doors, if available, as traditional doors can limit accessibility in small rooms.

Absolutely! I have a small apartment myself and love my BRIMNES system. I especially like the headboard with integrated storage – it makes great use of often unused space and really adds extra room 🙂 Thanks for the tip! The headboard with storage sounds interesting; so far, I’ve only considered drawers under the bed.
Does anyone have advice on how sturdy the headboard is and what kind of items are best stored there? Also, how is access if the bed is placed close to a wall?
I’m planning to position the bed fairly close to the wall to maximize walking and floor space in the room. Would that limit usability?
