I can definitely confirm that! I treated my BILLY in the bathroom with a clear varnish – it really makes a difference and also gives the wood a nice shine. 🙂

It can also help to stick small rubber or silicone pads under the shelves to prevent moisture from the floor transferring directly to the wood. And if you like, you can equip the shelf with waterproof boxes or baskets to protect the items stored inside.
