I recently bought several Billy bookcases from IKEA and was wondering if there are effective ways to speed up their assembly. I am particularly interested in how to reduce the assembly time without compromising the stability or proper alignment of the shelves.

I would like to add: If you tension the back panel, you can install a cross screw in one corner that you can loosen later.
This allows you to adjust the shelf slightly during assembly and tighten the screw at the end. This helps prevent tensions that often cause warping.
Temporarily attaching the shelves with just a few screws also helps with alignment.

One final tip from my experience: avoid working hastily, even if you want to speed up.
