Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the stability of my Billy shelves, which are standing on very smooth parquet floors. My question is: how can I secure Billy shelves on smooth surfaces so that they don’t slip while also protecting the floor as much as possible? I want to avoid the shelves tipping over or leaving marks on the parquet, especially since the shelves are quite tall and partially loaded with heavy books. Are there any proven methods to ensure both safety and stability while protecting the floor? Tips on suitable materials, installation methods, or accessories would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

I would also recommend looking into some self-adhesive anti-slip strips that you can apply directly to the base of the shelf. They are very simple, affordable, and really protect the floor well!
Exactly that! And if you want to be extra sure, you can combine this with a light wall fixing, if the situation allows it. Then nothing will be unstable anymore! Good luck, you can do it! 🙂
