Hello everyone, I am considering how to adapt my Ikea Besta system for practical use in the bedroom. The modules are currently set up more for living room purposes but are now intended to serve as storage and also as a design element next to and possibly behind the bed. I am especially interested in practical tips for integrating lighting, material modifications to create a more pleasant appearance, and perhaps clever ideas for using them as a nightstand or to prevent dust buildup in closed cabinets. Does anyone have experience with customized Besta modifications specifically tailored for bedroom use? Thanks for your ideas!

I have learned that it is extremely helpful to prioritize the functions carefully and work flexibly with the shelves. Maybe take some time to experiment with different configurations using sketches. This way, you can avoid tensions during use.

My bedroom is relatively dry, but I will definitely pay attention to breathable wallpapers and ensure there is enough gap from the wall. I might also install small ventilation openings in the back panels.
