I am facing the challenge of mounting my IKEA Metod kitchen cabinets on an old plank floor. My concern is not only the stability of the cabinets but also protecting the floor from damage and ensuring that the mounting can be removed later without leaving marks.
I have considered using standard plugs and screws but worry that they might cause long-term damage to the plank floor. Are there any special methods or mounting systems that work particularly well on this type of subfloor?
