Hello everyone, I am currently planning to assemble IKEA Metod cabinets but have a very limited set of tools available. My question is: How can I assemble IKEA Metod cabinets using as little tooling as possible, without compromising on stability? I only have a cordless drill, a screwdriver, and a hammer. Many of the instructions rely on various specialized tools or helpers, which I do not have. Are there any tips or special tricks to make the assembly as efficient and low-tool as possible? Thanks!

It is also important to strictly follow the sequence in the instructions.Exactly, I think this helps prevent frustration, which often occurs when you start without fully equipped tools.
I have to say, using minimal tools makes the process a bit more challenging, but definitely doable! You shouldn’t lose the enjoyment of building, otherwise it becomes a nightmare. My tip: keep a small, sturdy ruler and a pencil handy alongside your cordless screwdriver. Often, that’s enough to align everything precisely and mark small points before inserting screws. This way, you work more accurately and can avoid mistakes.

Keep a small, sturdy ruler and a pencil ready alongside the cordless screwdriver.Precise alignment prevents problems later on, that is correct. Additionally, especially with large cabinets, be careful when fitting the individual modules together – support or a stable surface is advisable here.
