Using improvised tools like a coin or spoon is possible, yes. It will make the assembly easier if no screwdriver is available. However, the stability depends more on the correct positioning of the anchors and screws than on the type of tool used. If the screw is properly fixed, the shelf will hold well even with these tools. A cordless drill is still the best solution for maximum stability.

Stability and tool-free assembly are unfortunately rarely best friends 😅 But everything is worth trying!
