Hello everyone,

in another thread, there was a discussion about whether nowadays more people build with or without a basement. I am curious to hear your thoughts.

Best regards

Because the original poster asked for these opinions and he is free to decide what to do with them.

I thought both of you had already answered the question in great detail at the beginning of the thread.

Nevertheless, after more than 40 posts, I am questioning the purpose.

... for two users to write ten posts just to present a "neutral" opinion?

What do you want? Boredom?

By the way, 57 users participated in the survey.

If tornadoes are already being mentioned here—in this case, you go into the hallway, which usually doesn’t have any windows.
We could also take shelter under the closed staircase, but then the tornado would have to cover quite a bit of area.
With these weather conditions, having a basement is a significant disadvantage, unless you enjoy cold plunges in the cellar... especially when wine bottles start rolling down the stairs because the magnetic catch on the wine cooler has failed due to a short circuit.

I’ve had enough of these situations, so no basement and a rough floor 30 cm (12 inches) above street level.

I'm just trying to form my own opinion.

Asking questions doesn’t get you anywhere

Actually, it does. Strategy consultants can extract the next questionnaire from every result, continuing until the end of time, exploring every last corner of every aspect.

That's what I'm saying—it doesn't help.
