ᐅ Home Purchase – Your Thoughts on the Orientation of the House on the Plot

Hello everyone,
We have the opportunity to buy a house. The location itself is great—especially in terms of our commute to work.
The house would also have a nice, large garden, which would be wonderful for our children.
However, I’m still a bit concerned about the orientation of the house. I roughly sketched the position of the house on the plot and attached the sketch. The house is located in the southeast corner of the lot. The plot borders a relatively busy road to the south (on the edge of town) and a less busy road to the east (entrance to the town). The garden is therefore to the north of the house, where a terrace could be placed.
Do you view this location as problematic? I find it particularly hard to judge, especially in winter, how much this would actually affect me.
I can’t say much about the house itself yet—we still need to visit it. But you naturally start thinking about these things.
Thanks in advance for your insights, ideas, and thoughts!

In the sketch, it looks like the garden facing north is almost twice as wide as the house. You could even install solar panels on the roof facing south if desired.
An advantage might be that the house has little visibility from the neighbors, whose houses appear to be quite far away or only face the narrow gable side.
I also see snow shoveling as the main disadvantage...

The road is still causing us a bit of concern. I think we need to consider for a while longer whether it would be suitable for us. Well, and then the house itself also needs to be the right fit ;-)
On the move – sorry for the typos

On the go – sorry for any typos

There are plenty more houses out there, so you will certainly find something.
Best regards
