Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

This is wood decor set in glass. Surprisingly, it is even translucent.

May I ask where you got the L-shaped blocks and how much you paid for them?

These are Kronimus wall panels, 305cm (10 feet) long. I have several meters of these, plus a natural stone wall and a light well, for about €40,000 from the earthworks contractor.

Wow, that’s definitely an acquired taste. Good thing it’s not my front door.

@climee wow, your house is going to be amazing! So beautiful

Our electricians are finally back after recovering from illness. Hopefully, I won’t have to get frustrated anymore when some idiots outside occasionally unplug the construction power outlet, causing the heating to turn off during the ongoing screed program...

Or is it just me, or does the electrical panel seem quite oversized? Let’s wait and see how it looks when finished.

PS: We’ll be painting ourselves soon, and through a friend, I can get 20% off everything in an upcoming Hagebau promotion. What would you recommend? I’ve heard suggestions like Alpina with a cat logo, Herbol Profi DIN white, or Schöner Wohnen Polarweiß. Which one have you worked with to your satisfaction?

Oversized?!? It's rather small and slender; ours is about twice as big.

It always depends on what is behind it. With conventional electrical installations and no special requests, I think that is normal.
