Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

So? Volume discounts are offered everywhere. The size of your paving area wouldn’t normally justify taking on the job at all. In building material wholesale, the term “wholesale” is key.

I’m more curious about what kind of paving it is. Natural stone? Probably not concrete at that price!

I personally don’t consider 170 sqm (1830 sq ft) a small area (though it’s far from a large commercial project). It’s some kind of sealed concrete paving stone, so not textured, with some sparkle inside and a thickness of 10 cm (4 inches).

Our awning was installed today. This is exactly how we had imagined it.
It was secured with twelve 30cm (12 inch) anchor sleeves into the concrete overlay. The installer said that if this thing ever comes down, it would more likely be because the house itself is collapsing.

Last year, the grass grew poorly around the wall, so this spring I dug out an edge for the mower (including drainage and a concrete foundation), which we generously extended around the steepest section since the robotic mower always had trouble there.
It worked out perfectly to plant something there. It looks completely different compared to when everything was bare.

How: Lawn mower robot AFTER the referendum "Save the Bees"?

Wow, you’re really daring!!!

But seriously: never let the lawn robot run at dusk – it has already cost many hedgehogs their lives.

Okay, fine...
It operates from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. People always think it has to run 24/7.

@matte1987

May I ask where you got your awning from?

From our window/shutter installer. We went with Markilux.
Due to the installation specifics (pressure-free mounting on concrete with 8cm (3 inches) of PUR insulation in front), self-installation and buying online were never an option.
