I really like a glass front; you only notice it up close, but it definitely has its appeal...
By the way, Bora is no longer considered the best brand in these systems, as there are apparently better ones. But, as always, that’s a matter of debate. Gaggenau is also excellent.

We also chose the Nobilia concrete front. I found the concrete look to feel robust in the sense that small stains aren’t immediately visible. I haven’t found anything comparable in this price range. Plus, Nobilia cabinets offer excellent options for customization. Now I’m even more excited about our kitchen when I see yours.

Often underestimated, but almost as fascinating as concrete slabs Oh no. Quite nice, but not as exciting as the beginning.Metalwerner schrieb:
Hello everyone, here’s another update from me. Meanwhile, the kitchen has been installed. Wow, really cool. Concrete look – the latest trend.

Wow, really cool. Concrete look – the current trend It somehow has to fit the house. I think it works quite well with Bauhaus-style homes. It doesn’t really suit a mountain cabin with a pitched roof, wooden balcony, and geraniums.

I like the light countertop already, but of course everyone has their own taste. I leave the kitchen design entirely to the better half. I also find a light countertop visually appealing, but for me, it would lack a bit of contrast. The reason we ultimately decided against it: we weren’t convinced that the acids from some vegetables (tomatoes, carrots, etc.) wouldn’t cause staining and spoil the nice bright look. Whether that actually happens is uncertain, but it felt too risky for us.
Enjoy your kitchen!
Regarding concrete-look finishes: there are also fronts with real concrete available, offered by Leicht. That option is pricier if your budget allows.
I also think glass fronts look stylish, but they’re said to be delicate—not the front itself, but the edges. According to a kitchen installer, if there’s an accidental impact (like a wooden spoon or ladle slipping from your hand and hitting the front), the glass can crack. It seems it’s not toughened safety glass (ESG). Glass fronts would have been too expensive for us anyway, definitely a “downside” in our opinion [emoji6]
