Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Well, to be honest, we know him... he is our daughter's dog. With the new house from Grandma and Grandpa, he is naturally still a bit unsure. But that will change quickly once we have moved in. He will then have two houses to choose from.

Seems like someone wanted to check if the pet food bowl with treats is already in place.

@Metalwerner
It’s not to everyone’s taste. With the large doors, it always looks like you’re sitting outside. Unfortunately, north-facing windows are quite rare here in Germany.

Important:

1. Sealing to the wall and floor must be vapor-tight
2. Load transfer must be ensured

Regarding point 2, I wouldn’t have accepted it like this – in my view, the continuous foamed gap is not okay. It’s best to have a perfectly fitting profile underneath, or blocks, or doweled brackets.
Good point. Our DEKRA building supervisor also noted exactly that at all the windows today, resulting in all of them needing to be repaired. Such a building supervisor is really invaluable!

We had the supervised shell construction inspection today, and except for the windows and the door color, everything is great. The rough electrical installation was already finished and, according to DEKRA, it is also excellent. The ceiling insulation was installed today, and the plumbing company is already hard at work. Next week will be the supervised inspection of the rough plumbing installation. Some photos were taken during the work in progress.

Unfinished room: ceiling with plastic sheeting, two windows, visible pipes and cables, raw floor.

Small unfinished bathroom with Geberit in-wall tank, tools and construction debris.

@Arifas: May I ask how much you paid for your DEKRA construction supervisor?

Wow, you’re moving so fast... here everything seems to be progressing very slowly, that’s the impression I get. The windows are supposed to be installed by the end of May, the electrical work is almost finished, but the plumbing is not done yet. And then there’s the really long screed drying time... right now, I’m mentally preparing myself to give up on moving in August...

Müllerin, maybe at least the screed will dry quickly then.

Sure. It is expensive. About 4000 euros for the entire construction supervision.
