Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Yes, really bright and nice! Are there also sliding lift-and-slide doors upstairs, or not? By the way, I find the west side better than the south side.

I saw that you even have an elevator in the house. You really thought of everything.
When is the move-in? Construction started in July 2017?

Wow, those huge stone slabs in the bathroom are fantastic. I find grout lines absolutely unattractive and they are also difficult to clean.

Yes, the sliding lift-and-slide doors are the same at the top, all identical. Construction started at the end of July 2017, that’s correct. If everything goes well in the final phase, we should be able to move in by the end of May or early June. The terrace and garden work will only begin around mid to late June. My goal was to check the washing machine in the new house, and that should work out.

For us, the west side is definitely much nicer than the south. There are neighbors and such on that side, so you don’t want to feel exposed like in a glass box^^, and no one can look in from the west, which is important because upstairs the shower has an open view of nature...

The easier cleaning was exactly the reason for my partner as well... The large slabs (300x100 cm (118x39 inches)) had to be used, no matter the cost. Not every tiler can do that, but ours did it perfectly. The wellness area features the same style slabs. Maybe I’ll find a picture of that as well...
As for the elevator, yes, we had the shaft prepared and then closed off with drywall. It can be easily installed if needed. I play a lot of soccer, and just in case my knees completely give out—you never know... Here is a photo of the "wellness shower." We used the same color as the floor there. By now, it’s finished.

Wow, the amount of lift-and-slide doors is quite impressive. Why not use fixed glass panels in some areas? You have to keep the area in front of and behind the lift-and-slide door clear to be able to operate it. How do you plan to furnish the room?

I found only one flaw in your house: the shower is too dark. Just kidding, you have a great house there.
