Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Joint tapes should hopefully still be installed there.

It was the same for us. The exterior was sealed using metal sheets and sealing tapes. The basement is situated 1.50m (5 feet) above the groundwater level – everything is watertight from the inside.

The screed was finally installed last Tuesday.
I hope the temperatures stay stable soon for the exterior plaster.

I still need to come up with an idea for the front side.
The left side, which is quite plain, didn’t look good to me on the plans either, but it couldn’t be helped since the walk-in closet is located there.

Does anyone have an idea for this empty side?

Is that the front door? Then that’s the perfect spot for a built-in bench, as they say in Bavaria. You could probably translate it as a "house bench."

Or a bush/rose/whatever in front of it

Sure, the front door, what else.
A bench is actually a good idea.

Roses are a bit too kitschy for me.
But a bench is quite low down.
