It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

No, there won’t be any handrails for now.
The suggested handrails on the middle wall have received a glass cover like the window sills, which should be enough.

If we find we need them, handrails are easy to install later on a straight staircase...
