Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

It's worth it though: the more automated the house is, the better you feel once you understand how everything works.
Yes, you're right. To be honest, I wonder how KNX is supposed to work if you can’t at least adjust some parameters yourself. It takes time for everything to develop, for you to figure out your routines in the new home, and then adapt the system accordingly. I’d probably go broke and the programmer would get rich if I had to call someone out for every little thing.

Speaking of electricity... my wife brought lamps from Denmark... mmmh. I need to take a closer look... well, you don’t find something like that in every hardware store. But it does have a certain charm. Karsten

They look really great

For me, it only worked through Tapatalk. On the PC using Chrome, I got an error message saying I didn’t have permission or something like that.

Based on this information, the electrician has run the cables.
He will handle the wiring in the distribution board...

May I ask what your electrician charges for this? I’m currently in the room scheduling, planning, and actuator selection phase but have no sense of the approximate cost or effort involved in running cables and wiring...[emoji848]

To be honest, I can’t tell you for sure. This part is billed by the hour. He has now spent 3 days working on the terminal blocks; KNX, window contacts, and blinds are still missing.

Estimate about one more day for that.

So, about one week. Then another week for the actual wiring, I would guess.

So roughly 70 hours at 45€ each.
