Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Where exactly is there supposed to be black ice? I don’t quite understand what you’re referring to.

It is usually completely calm there, with no wind at all.
He is talking about winter conditions and the ground in front of the heat pump (i.e., a heat exchanger), where the fan produces wind but there is no other breeze, so the thermal uplift from the winter sun warming the ground is minimal; overall, this leads to a risk of slippery surfaces.

Oh, you mean the sidewalk in front of the heat pump? Yes, we will see... if necessary, we will have to apply more grit there.

Hello,
it looks very nice. Are there any pictures showing more – the entire garden area including the house?
Best regards

Before – a 1960s two-family house, garden completely overgrown with cherry laurel and plants typical for cemeteries. 1,100sqm (12,000 sq ft) plot.

Modern single-family house with dark, steep pitched roof, dormer windows, entrance door and bench in front.

Current progress – there is still so much to do in the garden:

Modern white single-family house with large, sloped roof and solar panels; garden hedge.

Garden with wooden deck, closed parasol, colorful flowers, soil and bucket in the foreground.

White house facade with wooden terrace, dining table set, parasol and blue sky.

Garden with trampoline, net, construction wood, wheelbarrow, shrubs and open field in the background.

There is a high risk that it will already be icy cold there on such days, even when others haven’t yet thought about spreading grit.

Ok. Since we or our visitors are basically the only ones using this area, we will notice it in time.
