Strahleman22 Jul 2021 21:10Our Nibe S1155 with the ventilation system has finally been installed in the heating basement these days.
Laying the flooring is progressing more slowly than expected, but it’s getting there. We are now rather at the later end of our schedule 😉 On Monday and Tuesday, the kitchen will be installed—I’m really looking forward to that.

The last three days I installed the entire floor in my living unit, including the substructure, insulation, and underlayment. Now only the hardwood flooring and a few finishing or transition trims are missing. At the same time, I continued working on the final electrical installations. Almost all outlets and switches have been installed and wired on one side.
Unfortunately, there is still plenty of material and tools inside, but only 5 (hard) weeks remain for us 🙄

So, we finally have a handrail on the stairs: What kind of tripping hazard is that in picture 1?
Steps that just end suddenly? 😳
Why didn’t they cleanly continue the first four steps around the corner?
Huh? What trip hazard?
We sit there every day and put on our shoes in a comfortable position (which is also the idea behind it).
We have been going up and down there several times a day for six months now. It’s me, my wife, and a 5-year-old child. Even my mother (who is completely blind in one eye and has only 30% vision in the other) can go down there without any problems for her situation, and would never think of turning around the corner instead of going straight down.
The people I know usually go straight down a staircase, not around a corner.
I don’t see any trip hazard, no one has ever turned around the corner, let alone tripped.
