Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I don’t see any crooked outlet at all.
For me, the space around the sink would be too tight; I would have planned it further to the right.

Best regards,
Sabine

Oh, really...

So we had to revise the plan and swap the dishwasher and sink during installation.

Now I understand why the sink is so close to the tall cabinet. That’s unfortunate... Everything else looks great!

The interior plastering is making progress. Since we discussed flush baseboards earlier, here is a picture.

The plasterer has now installed a plaster reveal, precisely at a height of 8cm (3 inches) above the screed, so that the baseboard fits nicely underneath.

We are being charged €2.50 per linear meter net, which totals approximately €700.

By the way, the screed is not really affected by the subsequent plastering. However, I feel that my tradespeople generally work very cleanly.

I think the price is fair.
However, I find it difficult to imagine that if the plaster is not perfectly smooth, the transition might appear wavy.

That’s why I put a strip of plaster on the wall before plastering. After the screed was installed, I walked around the whole house with my battens and marked the finished skirting heights, installed a finishing profile, and plastered the gap. This way, the distance to the screed or finished floor is consistent everywhere.

I’m not referring to the spacing, I simply mean the plaster.
