Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

At least you have the best spot in the kitchen for mounting a TV in the entire forum 🙂

It just won’t let you go, huh? 😀

Just for that reason alone, I might look for a plot suggesting a split-level design *LOL*

Hello Matthias,

I really like the staircase!
Could you share some more details about it?
Is it a steel stringer staircase with oak treads?
I also think the railing looks great.

Best regards
Hello Toooias,
yes, that's exactly right. We are very happy with it. However, there is a plexiglass panel attached to the top of the railing with cable ties as a safety feature to protect the kids.

Never without a bathtub.

And never "stick" knives to the wall either; I don’t like how that looks and it seems too dangerous to me. You always have to be very careful about where you reach. Mine are kept in the drawer, and I don’t need that many large knives all the time. Eventually, you find your favorite knife.

The idea with the plexiglass is great and we will probably need to implement something similar temporarily as our child is only one year old.

Which color did you choose for the railing? Is it powder coated?

Strange… houses are becoming increasingly energy efficient to save resources—and possibly money—but water usage is still often overlooked.
