Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

What kind of wood is that, not oak, right?

@pagoni2020 I tried to take a photo of the facade for you, but it’s not easy; neither the color nor the texture shows well:

You really have a lot of stress answering all these inquiries.
Well, that’s what you get; maybe you should have built an ugly house instead... lesson learned.
Thanks very much for the photos.
I was particularly interested in the “sparkle” and the color name, because my wife has to choose the paint for our house, and she likes a tone like that and is also interested in the reflective/sparkling effect.
Maybe someday you’ll happen to come across a color number or manufacturer’s name and can share it.
Otherwise, thank you already for your reply!

@Bookstar Yes, it is American oak.

@pagoni2020 We had the wash plaster mixed by the manufacturer; they created several color samples with different sizes of glitter particles, and we matched these samples to the exterior walls and aluminum windows.

Dear Wintersonne, I quickly took two pictures, one from below and one from above. Yes, it’s a wooden railing, and we have it throughout the entire house:
I really like it a lot. You wouldn’t have expected the "flow" of the railing when looking from above. Is it veneer or solid wood?

@Mellina: The tiles really complement the wood beautifully! If I had seen them as a sample somewhere in a specialized store, I would probably have thought, definitely not! But here, combined with the rest, they look really great!

Thanks @ Wintersonne! I think the top part is solid wood, and the bottom is veneered, but I’m not sure. Fortunately, I was able to see the tiles at a private home, so I knew how they would look once installed. I would have preferred parquet flooring, but with kids and a dog, tiles are probably more practical. I’ve accidentally left the patio door open twice in the rain and was glad we have tiles...
