Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

@11ant All good, de gustibus non est disputandum. The yellow lines correspond to the floor plan of the old house that used to be on the property... They would have been relevant if we had renovated, which we initially planned, but in the end, it turned out to be a new build.

I’ve also often heard the comment about the cleaning lady, but I simply hope that in a large house the dirt is more spread out.

At least, I expect a more favorable ratio of surface dirt to corner dirt.
P.S. regarding my previous post: I looked for my small apartment for quite some time mainly because having a bathroom with natural light was important to me.

@11ant In the attic floor, we later added a skylight in the bathroom to improve ventilation; this differs from the original plans. Unfortunately, the skylights cannot be installed in the coming weeks due to COVID-19, but I will be happy to share a photo then.

Skylight in the sense of a facade window with a sill above head height, or a roof dome in the ceiling?

The second one... A square hole in the ceiling with a pane of glass in it. I wanted a porthole to look out of, but the architect didn’t like that at all.

Why doesn’t anyone build a bungalow with an atrium anymore?
That would truly be a dream.
