Induction works only over a very short distance. It basically doesn’t affect you unless you lean directly over the cooktop.

The black kitchen corner now seems too dark and, above all, too narrow for me. I wouldn’t even know how to lift a large pot out there without hitting the cabinet with my elbow. I would need more space.

I have a question about your hood. It seems quite low to me. What is the bottom edge height of the cabinet with the hood?

Yes, the dark corner would feel too dim for me as well. Also, it would be better to position the cooktop further to the left so you don’t have to walk around the island every time you cook.

Anything beyond a quick 3-minute chat I’ve been handling for years using (so far still wired) handsfree devices. The "hot ears" don’t come from nowhere. Whereas the maximum 200 mW from LTE is on a completely different scale compared to the kW from the cooktop.

@MadameP Does the stair tread protrude into the opening area of the closet in the second picture, or is it just the angle of the photo?

Good observation! The door opens 5 mm (0.2 inches) above the tread.
